Job summary

Travis Perkins Trading Company Limited is seeking a Sales Assistant to join our branch teams. You'll work Monday to Friday with alternate Saturday mornings, delivering friendly, knowledgeable service and handling orders and deliveries.

You will develop product knowledge, help customers in the Yard and showroom, support colleagues, and contribute to a safe, tidy branch. Training will be provided for building materials and tools, with opportunities to learn on the job.

Responsibilities

• Build strong customer relationships in person and by phone, delivering high service standards and meeting customers' current and future needs.
• Keep safety at the heart of everything we do and maintain high safety standards in the working environment.
• Promote additional products and learn about building materials and tooling on the job.
• Spend time outside in the Yard helping process orders and book deliveries.
• Be a team player and support colleagues across the branch.

• Physical ability to process heavy and bulky stock throughout the Yard and Warehouse, within our health and safety guidelines.
• Provide a best-in-class sales experience through positive and purposeful interactions that leave a lasting impression.
• Self-motivate, multi-task and stay organised in adaptable, fast-paced environments.
• You don't need to be an expert in building materials and tooling; we'll support you to learn this on the job.
• Team player comfortable stepping outside of your role to support colleagues across the wider branch.
