Customer Team Leader

Location: 32 Upper Malone Road, Belfast, BT9 5NA

Pay: £13.65 per hour

Contract: 16 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent, part-time

Working pattern: Varied shifts including early mornings from 6am, afternoons, late evenings until 10pm, and weekends, to be discussed at interview. The role includes working in our in-store bakery.

You must be aged 18 or over to be a customer team leader at Co-op, as you’ll need to authorise age-related sales.

About the Role:

We’re looking for Customer Team Leaders to join our team at Co-op. As a Customer Team Leader, you’ll be part of a friendly team dedicated to helping our customers. You’ll lead the store team—coaching and supervising Customer Team Members, deputising for the Store Manager, and performing tasks like restocking shelves and cleaning spillages.

  • Provide friendly, welcoming, and helpful service, often managing the store and handling challenging situations.
  • Develop your team’s capabilities through coaching and training, fostering an inclusive culture.
  • Ensure the store remains safe, legal, and fully operational.
  • Manage diligence checks and stock accuracy to enhance shopping experience.
  • Support your store manager by deputising and handling HR processes.
  • Introduce new products and services, encouraging team feedback.
  • Build relationships and support local community initiatives.
