Job description

Our Media is a leading special-interest content business, based in the buzzing, creative city of Bristol. We're home to market-leading brands in craft, cycling, science and nature, homes and music.

We help our audiences pursue their passions through highly trusted, original content – in print, video and online. Our much-loved brands include BBC Science Focus, BBC Wildlife Magazine, Your Home, Gathered.how, BikeRadar and Cycling Plus.

We also have an award-winning content agency that works with major charities, brands and membership organisations to help them tell their stories and engage audiences better – in print, video, and online.

Position:

This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience and knowledge within the media industry with a focus on customer marketing.

You’ll be working within the Customer Marketing & Experience team to help deliver strategic marketing campaigns through our cross-channel business for a variety of brands including BBC Countryfile, Gardens Illustrated and YourHomeStyle.

The role will suit a highly driven individual who has a passion for media and marketing with a desire to learn in a fast-paced environment. This will be a dynamic role which will encompass all forms of marketing from social media creation to video and newsletter activity.

You’ll have the opportunity to bring your own ideas whilst collaborating and contributing to the overall marketing strategy.

This is an exciting position for someone in the early stages of their career who is keen to develop and learn.

Requirements:

Essential

  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Excellent communication skills, with strong planning, task coordination, and prioritisation capabilities
  • Confident copywriting skills, with a flair for crafting engaging social media captions, impeccable grammar, and the ability to adapt tone of voice for different audiences
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment and meeting tight deadlines
  • Proficient in using all major social media platforms, with a solid understanding of each channel’s unique features and strategic benefits
  • Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to contribute fresh ideas and creative input

Desirable

  • Confidence using design tools such as Canva and Figma
