Job summary

Waitrose & Partners in Reading is seeking a Supermarket Assistant to deliver the Partner-led service and passion for food customers expect, helping the store run smoothly and efficiently.

You'll be involved in stock replenishment, online order fulfilment and general shopkeeping tasks, while supporting the wider team and maintaining a safe, tidy environment. DBS checks may be required for some roles; flexible hours are available.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in customer-facing roles is preferred.
• Interest in food and drink trends is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment - keeping shelves full and in the right place.
• Fulfilling online customer orders for home delivery or collection.
• Reducing wastage through good product due diligence and markdowns.
• Supporting the wider shop team including checkout and Click & Collect.
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment.
