Job summary

Waitrose & Partners in Lincoln is seeking a dedicated Supermarket Assistant to deliver Partner-led service and help food lovers on every visit. You’ll contribute to a friendly shopping experience by stocking shelves, fulfilling online orders, and supporting the team across checkout and Click & Collect.

Strong communication and a genuine interest in food trends are valued, along with a flexible approach to assist the whole branch and maintain high standards of service and store cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Communication skills to enable you to work effectively as part of a team and with our customers.
• Experience of working in a customer facing role.
• Up-to-date knowledge and strong interest in food and drink trends.
• Flexible approach to ensure the support of the whole branch.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment - ensuring shelves are full and products are correctly placed.
• Fulfilling online orders for drivers to deliver to customers.
• Reducing wastage by due diligence and markdowns near sell-by dates.
• Help the wider shop team including checkout support and Click & Collect.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment through general shopkeeping tasks.
