Job summary

Waitrose & Partners in Gerrards Cross is seeking a Supermarket Assistant to provide partner-led service and a passion for food on every visit. You will help customers, stock shelves, and contribute to a memorable shopping experience.

Beyond great service, you will manage shopkeeping tasks, fulfil online orders, and work with the team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations while maintaining a safe, welcoming store environment.

Qualifications

• Communication skills to enable you to work effectively as part of a team and with our customers.
• Experience of working in a customer facing role is welcomed.
• Up to date knowledge and strong interest in food and drink trends.
• Flexible approach to ensure the support of the whole branch.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment - ensuring shelves are full and products are in the right place for customers.
• Fulfilling online customer orders ready for drivers to deliver to customers’ doors.
• Reducing wastage by following product due diligence and markdowns on sell-by dates.
• Working with the wider shop team to support when needed including checkout support, Click & Collect orders, and on-demand orders.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment with general shopkeeping tasks.
