Job summary

John Lewis Partnership in Cheltenham is hiring a Supermarket Assistant to support customers with partner-led service and food passion. Hours are varied across seven days (15 hours per week) including early starts, late finishes, evenings and weekends 06:00-22:00, with a night premium for 22:00-06:00 shifts.

Contract is temporary; close date 31 October 2026. In this role you’ll replenish stock, fulfill online orders, reduce wastage, and assist the team with checkout and Click & Collect tasks

Qualifications

• Communication skills to enable you to work effectively as part of a team and with our customers.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment - ensuring shelves are full and products are in the right place for customers.
• Fulfilling online orders ready for drivers to deliver to customers' doors.
• Reducing wastage by following product due diligence and markdowns.
• Supporting the wider shop team with checkout, Click & Collect, and on-demand orders.
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment.
