Job summary

Stott and May is representing a VC-backed technology startup building AI-enabled software for complex physical industries. They seek a hands-on FDE to work closely with customers, understand workflows, and take ideas from concept to deployment.

You will own problems end-to-end, shaping product direction and delivering production-ready features across frontend, backend, data, and AI in a fast-paced, on-site London environment.

Qualifications

• Strong React or modern frontend framework experience.
• Comfortable building backend services in Python.
• Experience integrating AI systems into production products.
• Strong product judgment and ownership mindset.
• Comfortable speaking directly with customers, including non-technical users.
• Happy working in a fast-paced, on-site, high-intensity environment.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to understand real workflows.
• Translate messy operational processes into clear software products.
• Build end-to-end features across frontend, backend, data, and AI.
• Develop production-grade UI using React and TypeScript.
• Build backend services, APIs, and business logic in Python.
• Integrate AI features using LLMs, agents, and model-backed APIs.
• Run customer calls, write specs, build features, and ship to production.
