Job summary

NatWest Group’s Mettle team is hiring a Customer Due Diligence Analyst, Onboarding to support Boxed banking-as-a-service. You will conduct regulatory-compliant account reviews and help ensure the risk that customers pose fits our risk appetite.

You’ll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a focus on accurate data gathering and timely decisions, while developing your career in financial crime prevention. Strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer due diligence, economic crime prevention, AML, PEPs/Sanctions, KYC/KYB.
• Curious and analytical mindset with a risk-based approach.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct robust reviews of new Mettle account applications aligning with risk appetite and decline when appropriate.
• Identify and mitigate economic crime risks; escalate to protect customers and Mettle.
• Operate within NatWest Group policies and Boxed processes for compliance and consistency.
• Seek opportunities to improve processes for greater efficiency and scale.
• Review KYC/KYB check reports and application data to prevent fraud and understand account purpose.
• Review name screening hits for PEPs, sanctions, and adverse press; escalate or discount as warranted.
• Investigate alerts from UID, CIFAS and other sources; communicate findings clearly.
• Contact customers, manage chats within SLAs, and maintain a supportive tone.
