Job Description:

My client, a leading IT Solutions provider, is seeking to recruit a Desktop Support Engineer to join an expanding Customer Support team. This company has over 10,000 employees worldwide and supports numerous large enterprise customers. The role requires the following skills:

  • Own, investigate, and resolve customer technical issues, collaborating within and across teams, utilizing troubleshooting tools and practices.
  • Participate in peer communities and share knowledge where appropriate.
  • Develop technical and professional skills through training and readiness programs.
  • Identify potential product defects and escalate appropriately to contribute to Microsoft product improvements.
  • Fluency in English with effective communication skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • At least 3 years of experience in technical support or related fields.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of Office 365 technologies.
  • Experience with Office setup and deployment processes.
  • Knowledge of Office core applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Publisher, InfoPath, Access), including troubleshooting and usage.
  • Understanding Office integration with Windows, third-party network shares/OS, mobile devices, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Additional desirable skills include:
  • Networking skills and familiarity with protocols such as FTP, HTTP.
  • Object-oriented programming experience.
  • Technical literacy and hands-on experience.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs):

  • Relevant Microsoft Technology Certifications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
  • Experience in technical consulting or similar IT roles is preferred.
