Job Description:

My client, a leading IT Solutions provider, is seeking to recruit a Desktop Support Engineer to join an ever-growing Customer Support Function. This client has more than 10,000 employees worldwide and supports numerous large Enterprise Customers. Responsibilities include:

  • Owning, investigating, and resolving customer technical issues, collaborating within and across teams, and utilizing troubleshooting tools and practices.
  • Participating in peer communities and sharing knowledge where appropriate.
  • Developing technical and professional skills through training and readiness.
  • Identifying potential product defects and escalating appropriately to aid product improvements.
  • Communicating fluently in English.
  • Exhibiting strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Having 3+ years of experience in technical support or related fields.
  • Possessing excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Having strong knowledge of Office 365 technology and Office setup & deployment processes.
  • Proficiency in Office core applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Publisher, InfoPath, Access).
  • Understanding Office integration with various platforms such as Windows, network shares, mobiles, SharePoint, and OneDrive.

Additional desirable skills include:

  • Networking skills and familiarity with communication protocols (FTP, HTTP, etc.).
  • Object-oriented programming experience.
  • Technical literacy and hands-on experience.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant Microsoft Technology Certifications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
  • Technical consulting or IT experience is a plus.
