Job summary

Asda is hiring a Customer Delivery Driver in York for a part-time, permanent role. You will work afternoons, 19.5 hours per week, and earn £13.10 per hour, delivering groceries and loading/unloading the van with pride.

You’ll ensure customer satisfaction by friendly service, keeping the van tidy, and supporting the team during peak times. Applicants must hold a UK driving licence with up to 6 points.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Friendly and helpful approach to customer service.

Responsibilities

• Load and deliver orders with care to customers on their doorstep.
• Deliver to regular customers and ensure on-time, accurate deliveries, with a smile.
• Keep the van clean and ready for next delivery; assist the team during busy periods.

Whether you’re loading your van or delivering to your regular customers, you’ll play a vital role in the smooth running of our operation, serving customers and putting them at the heart of everything by delivering our products right to their front door with a smile. When you're not on the road, you'll make sure your van is clean and fit for the next delivery (don't worry, you don't need to be an expert mechanic – we'll give you all the training you need) and when we are really busy, you'll be asked to help your team, picking and packing online orders.
