Job summary

Asda in Middlesbrough is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to join our store team on a permanent part-time basis. You will load your van and deliver groceries to regular customers, ensuring a friendly, on-time service with a smile.

Hours are 30 per week, shifts are days, and full training is provided. A UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points is required. Competitive pay of £13.10 per hour plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence (full or auto) for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Friendly and helpful approach to customer service.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced customer service environment.
• Good communication skills and a team mindset.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload your van and deliver to customers' homes.
• Deliver to regular customers and ensure timely, friendly service.
• Keep your van clean and well-maintained for next deliveries.
• Help the team during busy periods, including picking and packing online orders.

When you're not on the road, you'll make sure your van is clean and fit for the next delivery (don't worry, you don't need to be an expert mechanic – we'll give you all the training you need) and when we are really busy, you'll be asked to help your team, picking and packing online orders.
