Job summary

DPD UK is seeking a Customer Automation Executive - IT to travel around London and surrounding areas. You will demonstrate IT systems to customers, support sales with product benefits, and train users on system usage. Full-time, Mon-Fri, 9:00-17:00, with London weighting and a company car/cash option.

The role requires a commercially aware, IT‑savvy professional who can work independently, visit customer sites, and maintain high service levels while promoting ongoing sales opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to demonstrate IT systems to potential customers and internal teams.
• Experience assessing IT usage at customer premises and performing site visits.
• Capability to train customers on system usage and relate IT benefits to sales.
• Good knowledge of databases and IT skills for support and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Promote IT system benefits to customers and depot personnel.
• Support Sales Executives with system demonstrations and responses.
• Perform site visits to assess IT needs and usage conditions.
• Provide training to customer employees on system operation.
• Address hardware/software issues and drive customer satisfaction.
• Identify and promote ongoing sales opportunities during engagements.

Our Customer Integration Manager is looking for a tenacious and motivated Customer Automation Executive - IT to join their highly skilled and high performing team.

As our Customer Automation Executive IT your primary responsibilities will include;

Demonstrating the use of IT systems to potential customers, depot and sales employees ensuring understanding and competence in usage

Assisting Sales Executives in selling and demonstrating the benefits of the system

Assessing conditions for IT usage at customer premises through site visits or other forms of contact

Assessing training requirements for customer employees and carry out such training

Assessing database needs and reformatting as necessary

Resolving immediate install problems as necessary

Resolving support log escalations via IT Automation

Ensuring resolution of hardware and software issues

Ensuring a high level of customer service satisfaction through remote or face to face customer contact as appropriate

Promoting ongoing sales opportunities

As the successful candidate you will have a confident and engaging manner with the ability to communicate and engage effectively with a range of customers both internally and externally. Due to the nature of this role you will be commercially astute with strong sales awareness coupled with operational IT knowledge and understanding. We would also expect;

The ability to manipulate and analyse data, have good knowledge of databases, IT skills and be familiar with Microsoft Products

The ability to effectively train customers ensuring training is understood and implemented

Be able to prioritise workload and manage your time effectively

Strong organisational and problem resolution skills

High attention to detail

Able to work on own initiative

Must have a driving licence
