Booths is seeking a Customer Assistant (Trading) at Windermere. You will support stock replenishment, check dates on fresh produce and groceries, and help unload deliveries while delivering a warm northern welcome to customers.

This role requires flexibility for late evenings and weekends with a 10–30 hour per week contract, permanent employment, and a pay rate around £12.80 per hour for adults. Training and staff discounts are offered as part of the Booths family.

Customer Assistant (Trading)

Rate: £12.80

Location: Windemere,The Old Station, Victoria St, Windermere LA23 1QA

Hours: 10-30 hours contracts per week

Working pattern

We have contracts between 10 - 30 hours per week.This will include some late evenings and weekends.

As part of your contract, we ask for availability that is, as a minimum, one and a half times your weekly hours. For example, if you were on a 10-hour contract, we would ask for 15 hours of availability. This doesn’t mean you will work 15 hours (unless there is overtime available, and this may be offered to you) but your shifts may be placed anywhere within the availability you provide. This helps us build fair, consistent rotas, and ensures we can meet customer demand across the week. With this role being in Retail, you must also be available to work one late night and one weekend day per week.

You will have at least 2 weeks’ notice of when your shifts will be. If you can’t exactly match the hours and days we are looking for, this can be discussed. We are always happy to hear from you.

The Role

Our customers will be your main focus, and everything you do will be with their shopping experience in mind. That means as a Trading Customer Assistant, replenishing stock, checking dates across our fresh produce and grocery products, as well as helping unload deliveries. You don't need retail experience to join our family. As with our with our bespoke training you will become an expert in delighting our customers with our warm northern welcome and creating a magical shopping experience for our customers.
