Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking store team members to help ready our shops for the night shift. You’ll stock shelves, keep spaces tidy, and move stock safely from warehouse to floor, including heavy items.

You’ll work across different store areas, including chilled and frozen sections, using handhelds and digital systems to perform tasks accurately. We’re looking for friendly, flexible people who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, support colleagues, and bring a hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

• Get the store ready by stocking shelves and maintaining a steady pace at night.
• Keep workspaces tidy and ensure aisles are clean and presentable.
• Move stock safely from warehouse to shopfloor, including heavy items.

• Utilise equipment, handhelds and digital systems to perform tasks accurately.
• Support other areas when required, including online order picking and checkouts.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Getting the store ready for the day ahead by filling shelves, working at a good steady pace throughout the night and being prepared to work with a variety of product types
• Keeping your workspace tidy for other colleagues and making sure our aisles are clean, presentable and ready for our customers the next day
• Collecting and moving stock safely from the warehouse to the shopfloor, including heavy equipment and containers
• Working across different parts of the store, which could include chilled and frozen areas
• Using equipment, handsets and digital systems to complete your work accurately and safely
• Helping in other areas when needed, which could include picking online orders or serving customers at checkouts once you’re trained and confident
