Job summary

Sainsbury's Taunton Store is hiring for a part-time fixed-term role. You’ll work 30 hours per week, including night shifts from 21:00 to 07:00, and earn £13.23 per hour. The contract ends 2 January 2027, with shifts planned three weeks in advance and flexible work arrangements.

Ideal candidates are friendly, physically capable, and able to manage overnight disruption. Right to work in the UK is required, and training may include checkout and online order duties.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Getting the store ready for the day ahead by filling shelves and working at a steady pace overnight.
• Keeping workspace tidy, ensuring aisles are clean and presentable for customers.
• Collecting and moving stock safely from warehouse to shopfloor, including heavy items.
• Working across store areas including chilled and frozen sections.
• Using equipment and digital systems to complete tasks accurately and safely.
• Assisting in other areas, such as online order picking or checkout support when trained.

What you’ll be doing

• Getting the store ready for the day ahead by filling shelves, working at a good steady pace throughout the night and being prepared to work with a variety of product types
• Keeping your workspace tidy for other colleagues and making sure our aisles are clean, presentable and ready for our customers the next day
• Collecting and moving stock safely from the warehouse to the shopfloor, including heavy equipment and containers
• Working across different parts of the store, which could include chilled and frozen areas
• Using equipment, handsets and digital systems to complete your work accurately and safely
• Helping in other areas when needed, which could include picking online orders or serving customers at checkouts once you’re trained and confident
