Job summary

Sainsbury's is hiring for store roles across our Witney locations. You'll help prepare the store for each day by stocking shelves, handling a variety of products, and working through the night to keep shelves ready for customers.

You'll move stock from the warehouse to the shop floor, assist customers, and work across different store areas. A friendly, proactive attitude and comfort with night shifts are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Able to work nights and physically demanding role.
• Willing to learn and adapt to different store areas.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves and keep aisles tidy.
• Move stock from warehouse to shopfloor safely.

Working in our stores

Our stores are at their busiest during the festive season, when customers are counting on us to help make this magical time of year truly special. To get our store teams ready, we have both permanent and fixed-term vacancies available so please check the contract type above before applying to make sure it is the right role for you.

Important checks before you apply

What You'll Be Doing

• Getting the store ready for the day ahead by filling shelves, working at a good steady pace throughout the night and being prepared to work with a variety of product types
• Keeping your workspace tidy for other colleagues and making sure our aisles are clean, presentable and ready for our customers the next day
• Collecting and moving stock safely from the warehouse to the shopfloor, including heavy equipment and containers
• Working across different parts of the store, which could include chilled and frozen areas
• Using equipment, handsets and digital systems to complete your work accurately and safely
• Helping in other areas when needed, which could include picking online orders or serving customers at checkouts once you're trained and confident
