Job summary

Sainsbury's Kendal store is seeking a friendly, customer-focused Retail Assistant for a permanent part-time role. You will help customers, stock shelves, operate tills, and keep displays neat, with 22.5 hours per week at £13.23 per hour.

Shifts include weekend availability and a flexible approach to cover busy periods. You will learn product ranges, promotions, and digital tools to enhance the customer experience while supporting colleagues in a fast-paced store environment.

What you’ll be doing

• Putting customers first and making them feel valued through thoughtful, friendly and helpful service
• Ready to help wherever our customers need you most, whether that’s filling shelves, picking orders, serving customers or selling our products
• Using and embracing digital tools to do you job well and enhance customer experience
• Helping organise and move stock, including keeping shelves tidy, clean and well-presented, and manoeuvring often heavy loads to the correct store location
• Building your knowledge of our products, services and promotions so you can confidently make helpful recommendations to our customers
