Job summary

B&Q Limited is hiring a TradePoint Customer Advisor at our Hull (St Andrews Quay) store. This permanent role is full time with 20 hours per week, featuring shifts across seven days from 7.00am to 8.00pm.

The role focuses on engaging TradePoint members, understanding their business needs, and selling the right products and services. You will build relationships, promote the Trade loyalty scheme, and support promotions while adapting to a rota that includes weekends and evenings.

• Teamwork and willingness to support colleagues and customers.
• Able to spot new business opportunities and promote trades promotions.

Responsibilities

• Handle TradePoint members daily with engaging conversations to recommend products and services.
• Own the TradePoint member experience to deliver great value and loyalty.
• Promote trade loyalty scheme and promotions to grow sign-ups and sales.
• Be flexible with rota including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

What's the job?

The heart of the Tradepoint counter, you’ll deal with all kinds of trade members every day. You’ll take ownership of your TradePoint members & get to know them & their business through great conversations meaning you’re in the best position to recommend the right products and services for them.

What we need:

A great communicator and team worker with the ability to get on with all kinds of colleagues and customers. You adjust your approach in different situations, you know how to build relationships with customers & you’ve got an eye for a new business opportunities. You’ll love helping your trade members get great value for themselves and their clients, through promotions and signing up of our trade loyalty scheme. You’ll be happy to continuously develop your skills through training and by learning from others. You’re happy to pitch in as part of a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
