Job summary

B&Q York Hull Road is hiring a TradePoint Customer Advisor on a permanent part-time contract (15 hours per week). Shifts are available Monday to Sunday, 7.00am–10.00pm, at our York Hull Road store. The role pays £13.10 per hour (includes £0.27 location allowance).

You will engage TradePoint members, build relationships, and recommend products and services to help their businesses grow. Join a supportive team with opportunities for training and development, plus a competitive benefits package

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and teamwork across diverse colleagues and customers.
• Ability to identify new business opportunities and promote loyalty scheme.
• Willing to work on a rota including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
• Eager to develop skills through training and learning from others.

Responsibilities

• Handle TradePoint members at the TradePoint counter and build relationships.
• Identify and recommend products and services to members.
• Provide great conversations to understand member needs and upsell.

What's the job?

The heart of the Tradepoint counter, you’ll deal with all kinds of trade members every day. You’ll take ownership of your TradePoint members & get to know them & their business through great conversations meaning you’re in the best position to recommend the right products and services for them.

What we need:

A great communicator and team worker with the ability to get on with all kinds of colleagues and customers. You adjust your approach in different situations, you know how to build relationships with customers & you’ve got an eye for a new business opportunities. You’ll love helping your trade members get great value for themselves and their clients, through promotions and signing up of our trade loyalty scheme. You’ll be happy to continuously develop your skills through training and by learning from others. You’re happy to pitch in as part of a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
