The hourly rate for this role is £12.40 and up to £13.85 across selected locations. The hourly rate will increase after 6 months in role.

Joining us as a Customer Advisor is a great opportunity, whether it’s your first job and you’re looking to gain some valuable experience, or you have experience with retail and you’re looking for a new challenge. This could be the start of a new career with us.

About the role

You will work onsite and report to the Assistant or Store Manager. Your role could involve helping on the tills, advising customers, or working in our back shop. You will also:

  1. Help customers and put them at ease by listening, answering questions, and providing great advice on our products. Recommend items they hadn’t considered or simply offer a basket—it's the little things that make a difference.
  2. Get to know our in-store offers and schemes, and promote them to enhance customer experience.
  3. Ensure the store runs smoothly by displaying products correctly, providing excellent service, and replenishing stock from deliveries.
  4. Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and presentable store, creating a welcoming environment.
  5. You will receive award-winning training accredited by the Institute of Customer Service.
What you’ll need to have

Full training is provided. We are looking for people who:

  1. Excel in a fast-paced, varied environment.
  2. Communicate and listen effectively.
  3. Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team.
  4. Understand that the little things make the biggest difference in customer interactions.
  5. Want to be a proud brand ambassador for Boots and help customers find the best products.
  6. Have 5 years of unbroken references to obtain an airside pass, with references being day-specific and no unaccounted periods longer than 28 days. Any longer gaps require additional references. The references must cover the last 5 years exactly from today's date.
It would be great if you also have

Experience in customer care and delivering excellent service is a plus but not essential.
