Job summary

B&Q Wakefield is seeking a Customer Advisor on a part-time, permanent contract working 16 hours per week. You’ll be an expert advisor who helps customers and supports stock, displays and store presentation.

You’ll have the chance to be trained in paint-mixing and timber cutting, but delivering excellent customer service is your main aim. Expect a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays, with shifts 6.00am to 9.00pm.

Qualifications

• Must be friendly, helpful and able to work in a team.
• Good communication and customer-facing skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to store processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and provide product guidance.

What's the job?

Join our team, and you’ll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like managing stock, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You’ll have the opportunity to be trained in paint-mixing and cutting timber, but truly great customer service will be your main aim.

What we need:

Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement, you’ll be right at home with us. You’re friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others. You’ll have the opportunity to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. You’re great at working in a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
