Job summary

B&Q Eastwood is recruiting a Customer Advisor to join our team on a part-time basis (15 hours per week). This permanent role covers shifts across Monday to Sunday, 7.00am–8.00pm, at the Eastwood store.

You’ll build product knowledge, help customers, and support merchandising and stock control to maintain an attractive shopping environment. You’ll be trained in paint-mixing and timber cutting while delivering outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• Friendly and outgoing, eager to learn and help others.
• Team player with ability to work on a rota including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert customer advice and guidance.
• Drive sales while managing stock and setting up displays to keep the store looking inviting.
• Learn paint-mixing and timber cutting and apply great customer service as the main goal.

What's the job?

Join our team, and you’ll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like managing stock, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You’ll have the opportunity to be trained in paint-mixing and cutting timber, but truly great customer service will be your main aim.

What we need:

Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement, you’ll be right at home with us. You’re friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others. You’ll be happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. You’re great at working in a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
