Job summary

The Growth Company's Employment team is seeking an Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) Advisor - in Custody to deliver labour market informed careers guidance to offenders starting their journey to work and education. Based at HMP Stoke Heath, you will help set goals, build employability skills, and support job searches as they transition back into the community.

Qualifications

• Ideally hold an NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Advice and Guidance, DipCG, or equivalent.
• Commitment to achieving the CDI Licence to Practice.
• Experience delivering IAG in custodial or related settings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised IAG advice aligned to each customer's needs and goals.
• Manage a varied caseload with targets for sustained employment or progression.
• Utilise labour market data to guide customers toward opportunities.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to ensure a steady pipeline of eligible customers.
• Provide flexible, customer-centred support via Virtual Campus, workshops and in-person sessions.
• Create detailed action plans to guide engagement and progress.
• Collaborate with National Careers Service and others to track outcomes.
• Adhere to Prison Service DPS contract and external standards.
