Mitie is seeking a General Maintenance Operative to support planned and reactive maintenance at HMP Millsike, North Yorkshire. The role involves ensuring maintenance tasks meet safety standards and compliance within a secure custodial environment.

You will work with engineers and subcontractors, perform routine documentation, and contribute to safe, reliable facility operations. A shift rota and call-out requirements are part of the schedule, with strong emphasis on teamwork and quality

Formación

• Experience providing general maintenance in a large, complex environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, and updating central data systems.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance and monitor prison fabric within scope.
• Follow safety policies, procedures, permits to work, and relevant regulations.
• Coordinate with engineers and subcontractors; understand site engineering services and best practices.
• Complete documentation accurately and on time; connect to existing plant/systems; use quality procedures.
