Newcastle University is seeking a capable professional to join the Curriculum Transformation Team to support the Leading Edge Curriculum and Education for Life 2030+ strategy. The role involves facilitating curriculum design, redesign, and coherence across multiple programme clusters, aligning with institutional policy and strategic priorities.

Competenze

• Up-to-date knowledge of policy and developments relating to curriculum design, learning, teaching, and assessment in higher education.
• Knowledge of programme-level curriculum design, development, and enhancement within higher education.
• Understanding of inclusive curriculum design, active learning, assessment and feedback, and student learning experiences in higher education.
• Ability to manage a complex workload, solve problems, use initiative, and work flexibly in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective networks with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Experience of supporting projects or change activity with planning and organisational approaches.

• Support programme teams through structured curriculum transformation and programme redesign processes aligned to the Leading Edge Curriculum and Education for Life Strategy.
• Facilitate collaborative curriculum design workshops focused on programme coherence, learning outcomes, assessment strategy, student experience, and curriculum enhancement.
• Work with academic and professional services colleagues to implement institutional curriculum strategy, policy, and framework requirements.
• Help programme teams design coherent programme-level learning, teaching, and assessment strategies that enable progression and future-focused learning.
• Develop and refine curriculum design guidance, resources, toolkits, and implementation approaches.
• Support programme approvals and reviews by preparing and coordinating curriculum documentation and design outputs.
• Build strong working relationships with academic leaders, programme teams, and professional services to support curriculum transformation.
• Coordinate across multiple programme clusters and timelines to manage curriculum transformation activities.
• Prepare reports, briefing papers, guidance, and presentations for internal and external audiences.
• Contribute to evaluation and continuous improvement of curriculum transformation approaches and models.
