Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have A Level 2 qualification in Automotive Technology or equivalent.
• GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or higher.
• First Aid at Work training or willingness to undertake training.
• Strong communication and teamwork with a proactive approach.
• Ability to work independently to support staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Assist in practical sessions, ensuring equipment and resources are prepared for effective teaching delivery.
• Supervise, where required, student use of Tools & Equipment.
• Organise and maintain stock, tools, and oversee general vehicle repairs and workshop maintenance.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to create a positive and engaging learning environment for students.
• Support teaching staff to maintain Health & Safety and Good Housekeeping in workshops.
• Maintenance of Automotive Resources.
• Delivery of key units within Automotive Curriculum timetable.
• Assist team in planning and maintenance of Teaching and Learning strategies.

What We Are Looking For:

The successful candidate will possess:

A Level 2 qualification or equivalent in Automotive Technology.

A Grade C/4 or above in GCSE Maths and English, or equivalent

Be First Aid at work trained (full 3-day course) or a willing to undertake the training.

While a teaching qualification is not mandatory, we value strong communication skills and a willingness to collaborate within a team.
