Job summary

Blackpool and the Fylde College is seeking a Curriculum Leader to lead curriculum development and delivery across programmes. The role requires strategic oversight, strong teaching qualifications, and a track record of managing portfolios and improving quality.

The post emphasises driving sector-aligned curriculum, staff and student development, and effective collaboration with stakeholders to deliver high-quality learning experiences.

Qualifications

• Possession of a recognised teaching qualification (minimum level 5).
• Possession of a degree in the relevant discipline.
• Level 2 in English and Mathematics or equivalent or willingness to undertake within 12 months of appointment.
• Masters qualification (HE posts only) or willingness to work towards.
• Possession of assessor and/or verifier awards or willingness to achieve in probationary period.
• Possession of a formal Management Qualification.
• Additional qualifications in subject specialism relevant to the Curriculum area.

• Experience of teaching a wide range of levels with high student satisfaction and success rates.
• Effectively tutoring and supporting individuals with high success rates.
