Job summary

Kingsway Park High School is seeking an exceptional Curriculum Lead for Religious Studies to spearhead the strategic development of the RS curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspire students, and drive excellence in teaching and learning.

You will lead curriculum design, coach colleagues, analyse performance data and ensure every student develops secure knowledge, critical thinking and engagement with RS in a diverse school setting.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Curriculum Excellence and lead the development and implementation of an ambitious Religious Studies curriculum.
  • Ensure curriculum content is carefully sequenced and enables students to develop secure knowledge over time.
  • Promote the importance and relevance of Religious Studies within the wider school curriculum.
  • Model highly effective classroom practice and demonstrate a genuine passion for the subject.
  • Support and develop colleagues to deliver consistently high-quality teaching.
  • Use assessment intelligently to raise standards and secure excellent outcomes for all students.
  • Champion Student Achievement by maintaining high expectations for progress, engagement and behaviour.
  • Analyse performance data to identify priorities and implement effective improvement strategies.
  • Lead and develop others by fostering a collaborative culture and providing coaching and professional support.
  • Contribute positively to whole-school improvement and leadership initiatives.

Kingsway Park High School is seeking to appoint an exceptional Curriculum Lead for Religious Studies to lead the strategic development of this important subject area and inspire students through a rich, ambitious and engaging curriculum. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher and aspiring or established middle leader who is passionate about Religious Studies and committed to ensuring every student develops the knowledge, understanding and critical thinking skills needed to thrive in a diverse and ever-changing world. Lead the development and implementation of an ambitious and intellectually challenging Religious Studies curriculum.
Ensure curriculum content is carefully sequenced and enables students to develop secure knowledge and understanding over time.
