Job summary

Sunseeker International Ltd in Poole seeks a detail‑oriented Current & Custom Designer to deliver bespoke yacht designs from concept to production. You’ll work with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders, applying Design for Manufacture principles while balancing multiple projects to uphold Sunseeker’s high design standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:2 B.Eng (Hons) in Marine Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience producing production-ready drawings and design packs.
• Strong proficiency in Siemens NX (essential) and AutoCAD 2D.
• Experience with SAP, Teamcenter and BoM management processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop customer special concepts into fully resolved production design packs.
• Produce detailed 3D models and 2D production drawings using Siemens NX and AutoCAD.
• Generate build packs for production teams, including cabin drawings.
• Support production, suppliers and contractors with problem-solving and cost reduction.
• Implement and manage design changes via DCR/ECR/QIP processes.
• Ensure design data and documentation are uploaded to SAP.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials and technical specifications.
