Job summary

Shooters Hill Sixth Form College is seeking a Chef Supervisor to lead a busy Hospitality and Catering team. This role involves coordinating daily kitchen operations, supervising high-volume food production, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and efficiency in a vocational college setting.

You will work closely with the Chef Lecturer and student chefs, taking a hands-on supervisory approach and starting early to ensure the next day’s service is well-prepared.

Qualifications

• Experienced, enthusiastic and highly organised chef.
• Experience in high-volume catering to manage busy services.
• Able to lead by example and supervise kitchen operations.
• Comfortable with early starts and working independently when needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate food preparation and mise en place for daily service.
• Supervise food production and ensure high standards of quality and hygiene.
• Organise daily kitchen operations and support the Chef Lecturer and student chefs.
• Maintain efficiency and safety in a fast-paced college kitchen.
