Job description

CT Radiographer University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust

Join to apply for the CT Radiographer role at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust.

This position supports UHCW and the mobile lung screening service across Warwickshire, requiring travel to various sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform a full range of CT imaging examinations across sites, maintaining high standards and compliance with protocols.
  2. Manage radiographic, technical, admin, clerical staff, and students within CT Units.
  3. Coordinate daily operations of the department, providing guidance in the absence of the Lead Radiographer.
  4. Ensure patient safety and documentation accuracy, adhering to departmental protocols and safety standards.
  5. Operate CT scanners, adapting techniques to patient needs and evaluating image quality.
  6. Participate in departmental QA programs, ensuring equipment efficiency and radiation safety compliance.
  7. Provide supervision and training to less experienced staff and students.
  8. Contribute to risk management, audits, and incident reporting in line with Trust policies.
  9. Support a full shift system, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
