Senior Rotational Radiographer University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust

Join our dedicated multidisciplinary team as a Senior Rotational Radiographer at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Performing radiographic tasks and imaging in line with protocols, working independently and within teams.
  2. Checking patient identification and documentation, ensuring appropriate examinations and safety protocols are followed.
  3. Operating static, theatre, and mobile equipment, assessing patient needs, and modifying techniques accordingly.
  4. Evaluating images for diagnostic quality and alerting clinicians to abnormalities.

The role involves participating in a rota across various departments including General, Theatre, ED, and Fluoroscopy Intervention, with on-call responsibilities for fluoroscopy intervention and shift support for the ED.

The successful candidate will develop into a strong team leader through induction, competency programs, mentorship, and access to ongoing training in Ultrasound, Plain Film Reporting, and advanced practices like Fluoroscopy-Upper GI and CT Neuro.

Our department boasts modern imaging equipment, a comprehensive training environment, and a reputation for clinical excellence. We offer a wide range of services including Plain X-ray, Ultrasound, Gastrointestinal, Neuroradiology, Head & Neck, Musculoskeletal, Genitourinary, Cardio-thoracic, Interventional Radiology, Paediatric, and Emergency & Trauma Imaging.
