The CT scanning department has 9 state-of-the-art CT scanners, supporting a wide range of referrers, including the level 1 Major Trauma centre, Vascular and Neuro intervention, Paediatric, Musculo-skeletal, Cardiac, and Oncology services. We pride ourselves on our broad clinical workload and expertise in delivering the full range of CT examinations.

The successful applicant will work as part of a multidisciplinary team within the CT department to ensure efficient and safe patient flow for CT examinations.
Requirements include previous NHS experience in a busy, well-organized CT department, and achieving Mathematics and English Level 2 qualifications.
The individual should possess interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
This role involves shift work, including long days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
The role requires IT literacy and regular review of the Radiology Information System to monitor CT referrals, especially from A&E and inpatient services.
Daily responsibilities include organizing CT lists, maintaining patient flow, liaising with wards about inpatients, assisting Radiographers and Radiologists during procedures, cannulating patients, and conducting observation checks.
The successful candidate must be proactive, dynamic, and eager to fulfill the responsibilities outlined in the Job Description, demonstrating a commitment to delivering high-quality service, clinical understanding, and governance awareness. The ability to remain calm and organized during busy periods is essential.
