Job Description:

Winchester Hospital, a proud member of Beth Israel Lahey Health, has a CT Tech opening on our CT Team. Be part of the mission to deliver exceptional personalized care within our 5x Magnet-designated, Top 10 Massachusetts recognized 229-bed hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  1. Performing safety and quality checks, including verifying exam orders.
  2. Completing CT examinations following established exam protocols established by CT Radiologist.
  3. Entering examinations correctly, ensuring accurate and informative documentation and appropriate charges are entered.
  4. Electronically sending and storing images and data appropriately in PACS.
  5. Maintaining records and logs to monitor quality and safety in accordance with departmental policies.
  6. Equipment cleaning and maintaining a safe work environment, presenting the best possible impression of facilities and fostering a culture of safety.
  7. Managing supply and equipment issues to ensure optimum operations, equipment quality, and long-term maintenance.
  8. Transporting and providing ambulatory assistance to patients as necessary.
  9. Informing patients and family members throughout the patient experience.
  10. Communicating effectively with the healthcare team using established handoff procedures, giving and accepting respectful feedback.
  11. Minimizing preventable harm events and adhering to infection control protocols, incorporating the Culture of Safety tools daily.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology. Advanced education in CT preferred.
  • Experience: At least one year in diagnostic technology; one year of CT experience preferred.
  • Skills/Knowledge: Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Licenses/Certifications: ARRT registered in Radiology and CT; Massachusetts State license in Radiology and CT.

All staff must be vaccinated against influenza and COVID-19 as a condition of employment.
