Job Description:
Winchester Hospital, a proud member of Beth Israel Lahey Health, has a CT Tech opening on our CT Team. Be part of the mission to deliver exceptional personalized care within our 5x Magnet-designated, Top 10 Massachusetts recognized 229-bed hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Performing safety and quality checks, including verifying exam orders.
- Completing CT examinations following established exam protocols established by CT Radiologist.
- Entering examinations correctly, ensuring accurate and informative documentation and appropriate charges are entered.
- Electronically sending and storing images and data appropriately in PACS.
- Maintaining records and logs to monitor quality and safety in accordance with departmental policies.
- Equipment cleaning and maintaining a safe work environment, presenting the best possible impression of facilities and fostering a culture of safety.
- Managing supply and equipment issues to ensure optimum operations, equipment quality, and long-term maintenance.
- Transporting and providing ambulatory assistance to patients as necessary.
- Informing patients and family members throughout the patient experience.
- Communicating effectively with the healthcare team using established handoff procedures, giving and accepting respectful feedback.
- Minimizing preventable harm events and adhering to infection control protocols, incorporating the Culture of Safety tools daily.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology. Advanced education in CT preferred.
- Experience: At least one year in diagnostic technology; one year of CT experience preferred.
- Skills/Knowledge: Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Licenses/Certifications: ARRT registered in Radiology and CT; Massachusetts State license in Radiology and CT.
