Description:

Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED required; an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred; at least two (2) years of relevant experience; excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; strong customer service experience, preferably in a provider services environment; computer literacy; ability to work with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); typing speed of 30+ WPM; ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment; capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to work as a team member and independently. Bilingual skills are a plus but not required. Call Center experience is required.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Review and screen provider enrollment applications for Nebraska Medicaid.
  2. Research, verify, and document provider information using secure external web services and PDMS to complete screening and enrollment tasks according to project policies, procedures, and protocols.
  3. Provide excellent customer service by managing provider calls, obtaining information, answering questions, and referring callers to the Operations Manager when necessary.
  4. Communicate with providers regarding ongoing enrollment status following set policies and procedures.
  5. Notify providers about incorrect or missing information and documentation in the PDMS system.
  6. Collaborate with Site Visit Field Staff to verify results from site visits.
  7. Maintain updated knowledge of the Nebraska Medicaid Provider Screening and Enrollment Project policies and procedures.
  8. Follow Standard Operating Procedures for this position.
  9. Achieve and exceed Production and Quality Assurance goals as defined.
  10. Escalate issues or concerns immediately to the Operations Manager to ensure contractual compliance.
  11. Cross-train to support other Customer Service Specialists as needed.
