Job summary

Danny Sullivan Group is recruiting an experienced CSCS Shuttering Carpenter to join major, long-term MOD projects at RAF Brize Norton. This role involves shuttering, formwork, reading drawings and ensuring safe, efficient construction activities on site.

You will work on high-profile civil engineering projects, with ongoing work into 2026 and beyond. Competitive pay (£25.77 per hour CIS/UTR) and weekly pay frame a long-term opportunity within a nationally significant programme.

Qualifications

• Valid CSCS Card appropriate for the role.
• Proven experience as a Shuttering Carpenter/Formwork Carpenter.
• Experience on large-scale civil engineering or construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Strong understanding of formwork, shuttering and concrete construction.
• Good knowledge of site safety and working around heavy plant.
• Reliable, hardworking and team-focused attitude.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out shuttering and formwork for concrete structures and foundations.
• Set up, install and dismantle timber and proprietary formwork systems.
• Read and work from construction drawings and specifications.
• Measure, cut and assemble materials accurately.
• Ensure formwork is aligned, levelled, secured and prepared for concrete pours.
• Work safely alongside plant, machinery and other site trades.
• Follow site instructions and health & safety procedures at all times.
• Maintain clean, safe and organised working areas.
• Report hazards, unsafe conditions and near misses immediately.
• Support site teams to ensure work is completed efficiently and to programme.
