Job description

Danny Sullivan Group is currently recruiting for an experienced CSCS Shuttering Carpenter to join major long-term projects at RAF Brize Norton. This is an excellent opportunity to work on major Ministry of Defence infrastructure projects, with work expected to continue well into 2026 and beyond.

Projects include the £9 billion Ministry of Defence housing strategy, delivering 265 new-build military family homes, alongside a major airfield resurfacing and infrastructure upgrade designed to modernise critical facilities and prevent further deterioration of the UK's largest RAF station.

Your Role as a CSCS Shuttering Carpenter:

Carry out shuttering and formwork for concrete structures and foundations

Set up, install, and dismantle timber and proprietary formwork systems

Read and work from construction drawings and specifications

Measure, cut, and assemble materials accurately

Ensure formwork is correctly aligned, levelled, secured, and prepared for concrete pours

Work safely alongside plant, machinery, and other site trades

Follow site instructions and health & safety procedures at all times

Maintain clean, safe, and organised working areas

Report hazards, unsafe conditions, and near misses immediately

Support site teams to ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and to programme

What We're Looking For as a CSCS Shuttering Carpenter:

Valid CSCS Card appropriate for the role

Proven experience as a Shuttering Carpenter/Formwork Carpenter

Experience working on large-scale civil engineering or construction projects

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings

Strong understanding of formwork, shuttering, and concrete construction

Good knowledge of site safety and working around heavy plant

Reliable, hardworking, and team-focused attitude

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment

£25.77 per hour

CIS / UTR

Weekly pay - reliable and on time

On-going work on nationally significant MOD projects

Excellent opportunity for consistent work throughout 2026 and beyond

Opportunity to gain experience on major infrastructure projects

Security clearance requirements may apply due to the military environment

Candidates must complete all required site and security inductions before starting

Copies of relevant CSCS cards, identification, right-to-work documentation, and an email address will be required prior to commencement

Additional onboarding requirements may be necessary in line with MOD site procedures
