Job summary

Danny Sullivan Group is actively recruiting an experienced CSCS Groundworker to join a major highways project on the A417 Missing Link scheme in Gloucestershire. You will carry out general groundworks, drainage, foundations and other site tasks alongside fellow operatives.

This long-term role offers PAYE pay at £16 per hour, overtime at £24 per hour, weekly pay, and the chance to work on a flagship civil-engineering project with a leading UK contractor near Gloucester and Cirencester.

Qualifications

• Valid CSCS Card is essential.
• SEQOSH Safety Critical Medical preferred, or able to obtain one.
• Experience as Groundworker on construction or civil projects.
• Experience in highways/infrastructure works preferred.
• Good health and safety knowledge on construction sites.
• Reliable, punctual and proactive with ability to work independently or in a team.
• Own transport due to site location.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general groundworks and construction duties on site.
• Assist with excavation, drainage, foundations, kerbing and associated works.
• Prepare and level ground for construction activities.
• Install and maintain drainage systems and other underground services.
• Assist with concreting, shuttering and reinstatement works as required.
• Operate hand tools and small plant where trained and authorised.
• Follow site drawings, instructions and method statements.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.
• Work effectively alongside other site operatives and trades.
• Report hazards, defects or issues promptly.
