Job summary

Salter Grange is recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading international engineering and construction contractor delivering major data centre projects across Europe. They seek a CSA Package Manager to take ownership of Civil, Structural and Architectural works on a live data centre project in France.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating CSA packages on large-scale projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of earthworks, concrete structures and building envelope systems.
• Experience in a Design & Build environment with multiple subcontractors.
• Knowledge of French construction regulations and ability in French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of CSA packages from commencement through to completion.
• Lead on-site health and safety, reviewing RAMS and permits, and conducting regular site safety inspections.
• Coordinate design interfaces between CSA, Mechanical, Electrical and vendor teams; manage RFIs and design changes.
• Drive a right-first-time approach to quality; ensure ITP compliance, inspections and NCR close-out.
• Support package budgets, cost reporting and progress valuations; identify commercial risks and changes.
• Contribute to short and long-term delivery programmes; track progress and develop recovery plans.

Salter Grange is recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading international engineering and construction contractor delivering major data centre and mission-critical projects across Europe.

Our client builds and manages complex engineering and construction projects for some of the world's leading corporations, delivering across sectors including Enterprise and Hyperscale Data Centres, Advanced Technology & Life Sciences, and Fire Protection. They're now seeking a CSA Package Manager to take ownership of the planning, coordination and delivery of Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) works on a live, fast-moving data centre project in France, leading subcontractors and site teams to ensure works are delivered safely, to programme, and to the highest quality standards.

CSA Package Manager Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of assigned CSA packages from commencement through to completion, developing and managing package-specific delivery strategies and coordinating daily construction activities against programme milestones.
• Lead on-site health and safety, promoting a safety-first culture, reviewing subcontractor RAMS and permits, and conducting regular site safety inspections.
• Coordinate design interfaces between CSA, Mechanical, Electrical and specialist vendor teams, managing RFIs, constructability reviews and implementation of approved design changes.
• Drive a "right first time" approach to quality, ensuring compliance with Inspection and Test Plans and managing quality inspections, sign-off and non-conformance close-out.
• Support package budgets, cost reporting and progress valuations, and identify commercial risks, opportunities and change events alongside the Commercial Team.
• Contribute to short and long-term delivery programmes, tracking progress, identifying delays and developing recovery plans where needed.
• Coordinate CSA readiness for commissioning, managing punch lists, snagging and as-built documentation through to handover.

CSA Package Manager Requirements:

• Degree or Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Structural Engineering or a related discipline, with formal health and safety training.
• 5-10 years' construction delivery experience, including at least 3 years as a Package Manager, Site Manager or equivalent.
• Proven experience managing CSA packages on large-scale projects within Data Centre, Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Advanced Technology or Commercial sectors.
• Strong technical knowledge across earthworks/groundworks, concrete structures, structural steel, building envelope systems, architectural finishes and external works.
• Experience within a Design & Build environment, managing multiple subcontractors and work fronts on fast-track construction programmes.
• Desirable: experience with a Tier 1 MEP or mission-critical specialist contractor, previous hyperscale/colocation data centre exposure, familiarity with French construction regulations, and French language skills.
