Job summary

Amentum in the United Kingdom is seeking a design engineer to produce baseline configuration modelling in Revit for facility structures, and to support option layouts using AutoCAD and Revit.

You will detail the preferred solution with drawings for contractors, attend site inspections, and apply engineering principles, codes and BIM standards across multidisciplinary teams.

Job description

• Producing baseline configuration modelling of the facility structure within the project areas of interest (Revit)


• Supporting the engineer to develop layouts of options to support down-selection through Value Management (AutoCAD/Revit)


• Detailing the single preferred solution, producing drawings and details to communicate design intent and specification to contractors and other stakeholders for implementation (AutoCAD/Revit)


• Attend site inspections to confirm design scope and interfaces in order to accurately reflect the as-built configuration of the facility within design solution details
  Understanding of engineering and architectural principles.


• Ability to apply codes, standards and regulations.


• Proficiency in relevant design software and BIM platforms.


• Basic understanding of structural analysis and civil infrastructure design.


• Understanding of construction methods and sequencing.


• Experience supporting design delivery on construction or infrastructure projects.


• Exposure to multidisciplinary design environments.
