Job summary

Oxford Knight in the United Kingdom seeks a proactive engineer to join its crypto division, shaping the future of the industry by building a robust back office for inventory management, monitoring, reconciliations, calculations and reporting.

You will work with traders and the ops team, tackle data integrity issues and solve mission-critical problems while processing large data volumes in distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years hands-on development experience.
• Strong Python skills required (some C++ would be a plus).
• Experience with SQL databases (MySQL and ClickHouse) and messaging solutions (e.g. Kafka).
• Degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or its equivalent) from a top-tier university.
• Proponent of clean, robust design.
• Back office experience preferable: understanding of trade positions, P&L, and how these values are computed from raw trade data.
• Experience with large data volumes processing and distributed systems is a major plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep understanding of crypto landscape and data powering the trading business.
• Build robust back office covering inventory management, monitoring, reconciliations, calculations and reporting.
• Collaborate with traders and ops team, support data management and resolve data integrity issues.
• Identify data quality problems and solve mission-critical issues in distributed systems.
