Job summary

Qube Research & Technologies in London is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design and implement deployment strategies on AWS in collaboration with development, trading and operations teams.

You will drive CI/CD adoption, develop monitoring to ensure availability and performance of cloud-based applications, and work with developers to improve scalability, reliability and security in cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with AWS services and cloud infrastructure.
• Python or Bash scripting for automation and tooling.
• Strong CI/CD knowledge with Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK).
• Hands-on with distributed computing and processing large datasets.
• Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Solid Linux fundamentals including networking and performance.
• Familiarity with time synchronization concepts (NTP/PTP).
• Strong communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement deployment strategies for applications on AWS in collaboration with development, trading and operations teams.
• Drive the adoption of CI/CD practices to automate and streamline software delivery.
• Develop and maintain monitoring solutions to ensure availability, performance and reliability of cloud-based applications.
• Work with developers to enhance application scalability, reliability and security in cloud environments.
• Provide operational support and troubleshooting for issues related to cloud deployments and infrastructure.
• Evaluate and introduce new tools and technologies to improve efficiency of DevOps processes.
• Act as a liaison between engineering and business teams to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
