Qualifications

• Previous experience in cloud engineering or architecture with hands-on expertise in AWS environments in finance or technology backgrounds.
• Strong understanding of core AWS services including container orchestration, compute, storage, networking, monitoring, and identity/security services.
• Proven ability to design secure, resilient, and highly available cloud platforms for data-intensive or compute-heavy environments.
• Familiarity with DevOps and IaC tooling (e.g., Terraform), containerisation, Kubernetes, and modern cloud-native patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy tailored AWS architectures that support high-performance modelling, experimental workloads, and large-scale compute pipelines.
• Collaborate with research, engineering, and data teams to build flexible, secure, and scalable cloud environments.
• Ensure exceptional reliability, availability, and performance across compute, storage, orchestration, and monitoring layers.
• Automate cloud provisioning, configuration, and observability using modern IaC and DevOps practices to accelerate development cycles.
• Continuously refine and optimise cloud systems for scalability, cost-efficiency, operational simplicity, and long-term platform evolution.
