Job summary

Tishman Speyer Properties in Cardiff is seeking a Workshop Technician/Welder to support refurbishment, modification and testing of cryogenic equipment in our Engineering Workshop. You will carry out welding, fabrication and testing of components for cryogenic storage tanks, and assist with maintenance and investigations in a collaborative team environment.

The role requires NVQ level 2/3 in engineering, knowledge of pressure equipment and a proactive approach to safety and quality in a busy

Qualifications

Must have NVQ level 2 or 3 in Engineering.
Knowledge and usage of pressure equipment.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team or alone.

Responsibilities

General engineering/fitting tasks including drilling, grinding, and working with stainless and copper pipework.
Undertake preparation, welding, testing and refurbishment of components on cryogenic storage tanks.
Fabrication and welding of steel framework for pipework supports.
Replacement of valves, gauges, and instrument work.
Complete failure reports on equipment.
Assist with investigations in Returns/Complaints to identify common failure modes.
Contribute to Continuous Improvement events within the department.
Assist with Facility Preventative Maintenance tasks as requested by the Workshop Manager.
