Job summary

The Francis Crick Institute Limited's Rosenthal Lab invites applications for a Crick PhD project focusing on Cryomicroscopy of lipid-enveloped virus entry and assembly. You will train in single particle cryo-EM, cryo-ET, FIB-milling and subtomogram averaging to image virus processes in cells and in vitro.

Candidates with a background in structural biology, virology or cell biology and hands-on experience in molecular biology or computation are encouraged to apply, with opportunities to study

Qualifications

Background in structural biology, virology or cell biology.
Experience with experimental methods in molecular biology or virology.
Interest in methodological aspects of electron imaging or computation.

Responsibilities

Study lipid-enveloped virus entry and assembly using cryo-EM/cryo-ET.
Train in single particle cryo-EM, cryo-ET, FIB-milling and subtomogram averaging.
Develop imaging and computational image-analysis methods.”
