Job Title: CRM Data Engineer – CRM Data Collaboration

Location: Surrey, Greater London

Working Hours: 37.5 hours/week (some weekend and evening work may be required for emergencies or key projects)

Purpose of the Role

As part of an expanding partner data strategy, we are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to lead the integration and execution of CRM data collaboration initiatives with key channel partners. This role is critical to operationalizing first-party CRM data within partner cleanroom environments, enabling enhanced marketing effectiveness while maintaining full compliance with data governance and privacy regulations.

The successful candidate will act as the technical lead, ensuring seamless data segmentation, transformation, and exchange using CRM data tools such as Adobe CDP and Snowflake. This role will also involve developing scalable integration plans for future partners, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring all activities align with internal security and compliance standards. This is a strategic position with high visibility, designed to shape how we collaborate with retail partners through cutting-edge data activation and governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the procurement and implementation of new data cleanroom platforms.
  • Enable and optimize platform features to support new customer data initiatives and campaign delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure implementation of critical security and compliance controls.
  • Manage, support, and enhance existing cleanroom platforms (initially focusing on Snowflake) to support CRM campaigns.
  • Develop integration infrastructure and data requirements across internal systems.
  • Define optimal data storage and transfer strategies within Snowflake.
  • Create comprehensive documentation and workflow processes across internal and external teams.
  • Ensure full compliance with internal security reviews and data handling procedures.
  • Conduct data extraction, validity, and integrity checks for each campaign.
  • Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data into cleanroom environments.

Key Stakeholders and Liaisons

  • Internal business units and regional offices
  • Project Management Office
  • External partners and platform providers
  • Departments including IT, Marketing, and Compliance
  • Communication reach: ~30 stakeholders across regions

Required Skills and Attributes

  • 10+ years of experience in data engineering, integration, or platform management.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP/CDP) and Snowflake.
  • In-depth knowledge of data cleanroom technologies and cloud-based ETL tools.
  • Strong understanding of data privacy laws, particularly within retail and advertising ecosystems.
  • Ability to lead and participate in security assessments; working knowledge of frameworks like IRP.
  • Expertise in ETL pipelines, data modeling, SQL, and Python.
  • Cross-functional collaboration experience across IT, Marketing, and third-party partners.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with GDPR and other UK/EU data privacy regulations.
  • Snowflake SnowPro Core Certification.

Preferred (Not Mandatory):

  • Adobe Experience Platform Business Practitioner or Architect Certification.

Education and Certifications

  • Degree-level education or equivalent in a relevant technical field.
  • Industry certifications in Snowflake and Adobe platforms are a strong advantage.

This role operates in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where agility and adaptability are essential. The successful candidate must stay abreast of evolving data technologies and assess their impact on the business while maintaining operational excellence.
