Job summary

Primark is seeking a CRM Operations Projects Officer (Specialist) to deliver, optimise, and continuously improve CRM automation projects within Salesforce Marketing Cloud. You’ll translate CRM strategy into scalable automation and govern processes across the CRM Operations team.

You will lead end-to-end delivery, collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintain runbooks, and drive performance enhancements while ensuring data standards and governance.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in CRM operations, marketing automation, or campaign delivery within a fast-paced B2C environment.
• Hands-on expertise with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Journey Builder, Automation Studio) and exposure to Movable Ink.
• Strong technical capability in email development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and working with CRM databases, data structures, and SQL.
• Analytical mindset with experience in reporting and performance monitoring to drive optimisation.
• Confident communicator with collaboration skills and ability to engage senior stakeholders.
• Experience supporting governance, data compliance, and guidance to junior team members.
• Delivery-focused, proactive, with a structured approach and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of CRM automation projects in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, incl. briefing, build, testing, launch, and optimisation.
• Translate CRM strategy into clear, actionable project plans with the Automations Manager.
• Design and enhance automated journeys (Lifecycle, Behavioral, Transactional) for scalability and governance.
• Identify optimisation opportunities across automations and improve data utilisation.
• Collaborate with CRM Coordinators to plan, prioritise, and deliver automation activity with clear briefs.
• Act as central coordination point within CRM Operations for cross-project handovers.
• Work with CRM Campaigns, Engagement, Technology, and Data teams to translate briefs into requirements.
• Own testing, QA, governance, runbooks, and operational processes; ensure data standards.
• Escalate risks or decisions and drive issue resolution and continuous improvement.
