Job summary

PROMAN is seeking a Multi-skilled Shift Engineer (Electrical Bias) for two large commercial buildings in Canary Wharf, London. The role involves maintaining critical M&E infrastructure, issuing Permits to Work, and supervising contractors on a 4-on/4-off 12-hour shift pattern.

The ideal candidate has time-served electrical engineering qualifications, BS7671, HVAC knowledge, and CAFM/BMS experience. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with immediate starts.

Qualifications

• Time-served Electrical Engineer or recognised equivalent qualification.
• C&G BS7671 or equivalent.
• HVAP qualification.
• Experience with Permit to Work systems.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical & mechanical building services.
• Experience with L8 ACOP compliance.
• Ability to supervise contractors and review RAMS.
• IOSH Managing Safely (or similar) desirable.
• IPAF 3A & 3B, 2391 inspection & testing, Confined Space & mechanical qualifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out PPMs and reactive maintenance.
• Operating and maintaining critical M&E infrastructure.
• Issuing and managing Permits to Work.
• Supervising subcontractors and specialist contractors.
• Reviewing RAMS and ensuring safe working practices.
• Supporting critical building incidents and emergency response.
• Providing technical support and quotations for chargeable works.
• Maintaining accurate compliance records via CAFM systems.
